Electron Configuration Coloring
2005/01/24mYou may have noticed that when you click on "Electron Configuration" in the element details, instead of coloring the periodic table, the table becomes the default orange color. This was mostly because I had no idea how to express a configuration as color. Well I finally decided to use that button to mean color based on the energy sublevel, l (s, p, d, f) and m*. This results in a gradient of increasing color within the sublevels.
On an unrelated note, you may have noticed that when you make this page too skinny, that the center column containing all the text shifts over to the left. Sorry, but I haven't yet figured out how to fix that. If it happens, then just make your page bigger. Even the 800x600 screen size setting should have enough room to make the whole page visible if maximized.
